The aches and pains of garden work are back. Yey!!! No really, yey! The yard sure did need it. Take a look at this.

Look at all those weeds on the right! |
Hubby dug up the top layer. Now I'm waiting for some compost to be ready so we can fill in that area and let the ivy (which is coming from our neighbor's house) fill in the whole area. We buy our compost from a farmer. She loads up my husband's pickup truck with composted horse manure for $10! It's just not ready yet. :( |
This is on the other side of the tree. I dug up all those freakin rocks today from that patch of soil to the left. The ivy has not been able to fill in because the rocks are just under a thin layer of dirt. I've big digging up rocks in this area for 3 years! |
Now that's a lot of weeds! And they're overflowing onto the walkway. |
No more weeds! I pulled them all out. I dug a little trench behind the retaining wall too. |
Think this rhododendron has seen better days? I also can't stand that the rain barrel came with a spigot so high off the ground! Duh! Any water below the spigot is trapped. I need to put a second spigot at the bottom and hook my soaker hose up to that. I've had the soaker hose hooked up to this spigot for years. This one will be perfect for filling a watering can. |

Nothing a little trip to Lowe's can't fix! |
Now on to the tour...
I hope you enjoyed the tour! Visit again soon,
