Week 1 - A Still Sleepy Garden

We finally got a warm day and it was time to start on the yard maintenance.  Mostly cutting back the grasses, raking up leaves and cleaning up the perennials.  I can't wait until it gets warmer and everything starts to come to life.

These rocks were on our property when we moved in.  I dug them up and moved them around various spots in the yard.
Hubby helping me with the biggest of the grasses.  I chopped, he bagged.

These 5 clumps of grass used to be 1 clump at my friends' house.
My sad flower pots and straw from Halloween.  I built and stained this stair platform.
Flagstone patio with 5 clumping bamboo in the corner
My peonies and hardy hibiscus will fill this whole area in.
Theses shrubs are all evergreen.  One day they'll shield me from my neighbor.
We had big plans to put an outdoor shower here, but now I think I want it elsewhere.
These pretty buds are on the nectarine tree

The vinca is one of the first things to bloom in our yard

Visit again soon,
